So, long long ago, I was Kobayashi Hisa, an up-and-coming creative director who displayed all her wares for the world to see. I was robbed of many of them, some of them still floating around on the internet somewhere I am sure. So I stopped doing personal art and started doing art for work only. Then my good friend `
The-Lantiis started on deviantART, and I immediately LOATHED it. She was going to start a club called "Deviant Senshi" and so created this account. Well, you see how far she got with that. Instead, after begging me to give it a try, I donned the name "DeviantSenshi" aka DS and made this account my home. I have come to, perhaps not 'like' deviantART, but to appreciate its diversity and embracing the learning curve necessary for the new artist on deviantART. While here as DeviantSenshi, I have made quite a few friends and made a good lot of enemies due to my passion for copyrights and artists rights. And sometimes just for a piss-poor attitude too. I have had a great run with my first try at a group (now closed due to lack of time), and thanks to the new feature on deviantART (the name change), I am able to make this account really mine.
I hope, as Kobayashi Hisa once again, to start fresh and start doing art for personal pleasure again. Not for a 'reason.' Not for a 'cause.' But just because I
want to. So this is my goal in the last half of 2012... to do art for ME. To make my little cartoons that my kids love, the stupidly skinny and big-headed toons that my husband finds so amusing, and for my own pleasure and amusement at how the community will react so my over-the-top-disfiguring-super-deformed style. And to perhaps share some of my most favorite work-related pieces as well. I do, after all, perform the services of the Creative Marketing director where I work. And I love it. And I would love to love being here more often when I have access to internet. And perhaps being a positive person on deviantART instead of the one telling you what she thinks you are doing wrong all the time. I am sure some people will appreciate that.
So goodbye to DS and hello Hisa again! Hopefully this trip will be better than the last (which resulted in two court appearances to force idiots to remove my work from their websites and online stores!!!).
